EPAM Engages 1,500 Students in Coding Activities
News:
Basic coding skills are likely to become inevitable for future jobs. From April 3-7, 2017, hundreds of events across Hungary focused on teaching coding to children in honor of Digital Theme Week 2017. Through our e-Kids program, EPAM is passionate about educating all students from young children to adolescents in IT and programming. EPAM was proud to participate in Digital Theme Week 2017 by engaging nearly 1,500 primary and secondary school students from 33 local schools in several engaging and fun coding activities.
All three EPAM locations in Hungary hosted 20+ office tours that featured inspirational presentations and discussions about careers in IT. EPAM Debrecen organized Kids Coding Dojo, an event that introduces basic programming in JavaScript to students aged 14-18, and EPAM Szeged ran a Kids Hackathon. Many EPAMers also visited local schools to speak to students about different topics, such as robotics, programming and testing.
