Responsibilities

  • Production Stability: Take ownership of production stability and problem resolution for Quant/Enterprise Technology systems during core business hours
  • Production Environment: Ensure the readiness and effective operation of production environments, conducting routine maintenance on file, data store, and job control systems
  • On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations, being available to address issues outside regular business hours
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Investigate complex issues related to production delivery, conduct root cause analyses, establish solutions, and oversee the necessary steps for resolution
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, promptly flag significant issues, and escalate incidents when required
  • Client Focus: Deliver results, productivity, quality, and value to clients, meeting their deadlines and objectives while remaining an honest, realistic, and dedicated partner
  • Deployment: Deploy patches and full-stack updates into production, ensuring seamless operations
  • Disaster Recovery Testing: Lead regular disaster recovery testing and improve the process continually
  • Innovation: Play an active role in proposing innovative technologies, tools, and approaches to improve processes and solve business problems

Requirements

  • Intermediate SQL: Proficiency in MS SQL databases
  • Scripting: Intermediate knowledge of PowerShell or C#
  • Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Technical Experience: Hands-on experience in creating, improving, supporting, and releasing technical solutions, preferably in a Microsoft environment
  • Coding Skills: Understanding of object-oriented programming language coding principles
  • Technical Stack: Experience with RESTful services, SQL databases, AMQP
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Control-M, Grafana, Octopus, and TeamCity
  • ITIL: Understanding of ITIL processes

Nice to have

  • Reactive Programming: Experience with ReactiveX
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of Python, Scala, or Go programming languages
  • Reporting Tools: Experience with reporting tools like JasperReports, DynamicReports, or QlikView
  • Complex Environments: Experience working in complex environments with multiple dependencies
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Victoria Metrics, SolarWinds, and Elasticsearch
