Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility testing on assigned products and report all defects related to WCAG violations
- Achieve testing proficiency and meet productivity and quality benchmarks
- Display a clear understanding of accessibility testing techniques
- Work closely with key stakeholders across Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to support testing initiatives
- Collaborate with the Testing Lead to ensure timely completion and accuracy of all testing requests
- Help in creating and maintaining testing process documentation
- Suggest process improvement ideas and provide input on testing tools and applications
- Ensure compliance with the client’s accessibility policy and guidelines
- Stay updated on evolving accessibility standards and industry trends
- Continually develop skills in the field of accessibility testing
Requirements
- BA/BS in information science, information design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience in testing within software development, web development or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in an accessibility-related field
- Understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
- Expertise in assistive technologies and accessibility-related software such as JAWS®, NVDA, and automated testing tools
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for logging and tracking bugs
- Demonstrated success in facilitating testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to create test plans and scripts
- Capability to influence and define processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to engage with high-level stakeholders
- Flexibility to handle ambiguous situations and make informed decisions
