Responsibilities
- Providing 24/7 rotational on-call support for production databases, ensuring seamless operations
- Participating in database technology planning, project support, and consulting, contributing your expertise to our strategic initiatives
- Designing and maintaining Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Leading database disaster recovery planning and testing, safeguarding our data and ensuring business continuity
- Overseeing database security administration, protecting our data from potential threats
- Supporting all DBMS environments residing on Z/OS, Windows, Linux, AIX, ESX platforms, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Requirements
- Experienced in MySQL, with SQL Server and Maria DB knowledge as an added advantage
- Agile and innovative, capable of managing in an environment of change and ambiguity
- Creative thinkers who take initiative and are capable of building, launching, and managing projects/programs that drive results for our customers
- Problem solvers with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectives
- Collaborative team players with superior influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
Nice to have
- Experience with Maria DB, SQL Server, and IBM DB2 will be considered a plus
Technologies
- Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS and MySQL database design/maintenance is a must
