EPAM is looking for a Solution Architects with hands-on coding experience to join the existing mixed delivery teams aligned to one of our Insurance clients in Antwerp, Belgium. You will be focused on working with existing portals and systems, consulting delivery teams and starting new products and services for the client, including discovery and prototyping.
Our Solution Architects must have the ability to engage in opening discussions, identify technology needs, recommend the right technology choices and communicate/deliver solutions.
You will be required to be on client site in Antwerp 1-2 days a week and you must be a fluent English and Dutch speaker.

Responsibilities
- Lead and guide development teams from an architecture and technical point of view
- Drive new opportunities and products for the customer
- Support current architecture for existing portals and platforms: microservices, event-driven, cloud-native
- Provide guidance through the complexity of solution architecture options and the long-term roadmap for the solutions
- Find the right balance between innovation, technical feasibility, long term sustainability
- Create and present proof-of-concepts (POCs) and architecture proposals
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams
- Carry out technical audits and design reviews
- Evaluate new technologies, monitor hardware and software trends
- Participate in internal and external conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field ((or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience acting as Solution Architect with a strong foundation in Software Engineering
- Extensive experience with Azure Cloud
- Good understanding and knowledge of Java, Spring, K8S, Docker
- Experience with Gerrit, SonarQube, and Jenkins
- Domain-Driven Design experience: strategic and tactical
- Hands-on experience with Microservice based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology
- Able to act as a SME to link technology with business value whilst guiding clients through the right technology choices suitable to their core short or long term needs
- Fluent English and Dutch speaker

- Insurance domain knowledge
- Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is a plus (very optional)
