Azure Cloud Architect Hoofddorp, Netherlands

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Cloud infrastructure and solutions
• Engage with customers through workshops and by providing design recommendations to client technical teams and stakeholders
• Develop and present architecture proposals, and proofs-of-concept based on gathered requirements
• Evaluate emerging technologies with a focus on current Cloud and AI trends
• Serve as a lead architect on client engagements, guiding teams on established best practices and frameworks
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to high-profile enterprises, and collaboratively manage customer relationships alongside the EPAM account team
• Support pre-sales activities in collaboration with Account Teams

Requirements

• Recent at least 3 years of experience as an Azure Cloud Architect and at least 8 years in IT
• Broad knowledge of the overall Azure service catalog
• Demonstrable knowledge of Azure solutions architecture design
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Enterprise-scale Landing Zone reference architecture
• Hands-on experience in the Microsoft Azure Cloud ecosystem, specifically with expert knowledge at least in one Azure Cloud domain:
  • Developer Technology (GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps and etc)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Bicep, YAML, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Infrastructure and Hybrid Solutions (Cloud Compute, HPC, Azure Arc, SAP on Azure, Storage)
  • Networking (vNet, VPN, Express Route, vWAN)
  • Security (Sentinel, Defender family, Firewall, Application Gateway)
  • Governance and Monitoring (Management Groups, Policy, Log Analytics, Monitor, Application Insight, Blueprints)
  • Data & AI (OpenAI\ChatGPT, DBaaS, Databricks)
  • Cloud Application Modernization (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Low-Code\No-Code)
  • Container technologies (Azure Kubernetes Service or equivalent Kubernetes services (EKS/GKE/OpenShift)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in written and verbal form
• Adept at managing and leading a technical team of engineers and experts, and sharing solution architecture methodologies
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer care and service in all activities
• Experience in presenting technical ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of seniority
• Leadership skills, with the ability to work comfortably alongside senior colleagues, including those at the C-level
• Fluency in written and spoken Dutch is essential
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

• Able to work independently on technical pre-sales activities is considered as a plus
