Customer position overview:


• Customer overview: in production hydrocarbyl company being acquired. Re-fresh and start of IT operations and environment setup.
• Project domain: IT support and operations of a customer's IT environment
• Technologies used: current Linux to be migrated to Windows, O365
• Team size and specifics: estimated in 3 persons – 1 near the site with occasional visits to the customer premises in Bucharest and Arad and the rest remotely.
• Location: Romania, Arad/Timisoara

EPAM position overview:


• Enterprise Administrator as a member of EPAM internal administrators team serving and running EPAM's infrastructure.
• With mail focus on internal operations, this position will also be involved in production projects support - shared mode.

What You’ll Do

  • Role: L3 support engineer for the customer and supporting internal EPAM infrastructure systems:
    • Planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Azure, [GCP, AWS]
    • Planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Azure AD, Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online
    • Planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Service and connected services
    • AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, DNS, DHCP, LAPS, TSG, MBAM, WDS, WSUS, GPO
    • Planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of email services based on on-prem Exchange 2010, 2016, 2019
    • Planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of SQL server 2005/2008(2008R2)/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019; Always On availability groups, mirroring
    • Planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Private Cloud infrastructure
    • Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine manager (Hyper-V)
    • Storages, blades, etc
    • L2/L3 support of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
    • OS images, applications, packages for automatic installation, baselines, updates, PXE, reporting
    • L2/L3 support of Microsoft Endpoint Manager
    • Intune, Co-management, Autopilot
    • L2/L3 Support of Apple Mac devices using JAMF
    • L2/L3 Support of Linux devices
    • Scripting / Automation on PowerShell, Python, Bash
    • Write IT-related work instructions
    • Resolve incidents and process changes by request from assigned project, EPAM IT management and/or other departments in timely manner

What You Have

  • Must have skill: Romanian language
  • Primary hard skills (technical stack):
    • Strong experience in public clouds: Azure/Office 365, [GCP, AWS.]
    • Strong experience in Microsoft Windows Server roles and features, other IT infrastructure services
    • Strong experience in email services: Exchange Online, Exchange on-prem
    • Good experience in Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
    • Good experience in private cloud infrastructure (Hypervisors, storages, blades, etc.)
    • Experience with SQL databases (procedures, triggers, view, etc.)
    • Good experience in backup (Data Protection manager)
    • Ability to support production systems and application
    • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD required
  • Secondary skills:
    • Good experience in Linux
    • Good experience in technical writing
    • Experience in monitoring / testing architectures and best practices
    • Good understanding of IT infrastructure design principles
    • Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices
  • Soft skills:
    • Empathy
    • Business communication
    • Ability to lead IT team, consult peers and to mentor newcomers
    • Ability to work independently without much need for technical guidance or ramp-up time
  • Experience and knowledge:
    • 2+ years of supporting enterprise level IT environment
    • English level: B2
