Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring their engagement, motivation, and effective collaboration towards project goals
- Oversee the technical aspects of projects, including planning, design, implementation, and testing
- Ensure project deadlines are met and the engineering team delivers high-quality work
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product management, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution
- Participate in the hiring process, including defining job requirements, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions
- Develop and implement onboarding and training programs for new team members
- Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities
- Manage and resolve conflicts within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into the team's work as appropriate
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, with a focus on the specific discipline relevant to the team
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall

- Public speaking experience is a plus
