What You’ll Do

• Design and implement technical solutions to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements
• Reviewing, interpreting, and responding to business requirements to ensure alignment between customer expectations and application design
• Working collaboratively with project managers for project planning, schedule development, requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, and project outcome management from a technical perspective
• Working collaboratively with UX/Creative Designers to ensure Shopify best practices are applied in the UX and design processes
• Translating design files to clean and effective liquid templates
• Utilizing web standards best practices, semantic front-end markup, structured stylesheets, and efficient JavaScript
• Monitoring quality assurance and site speed across all platforms, devices and browsers detailed in the technical specification of each project
• Leading application performance and stability activities required to meet acceptance criteria

What You Have

• 3+ years of experience in software development field
• Hands on experience with Shopify Plus
• Excellent understanding of the Shopify data model
• Experience with building Shopify Themes, Sections, and Shopify Apps
• Experience with managing Shopify store inventory, shipping rates, discounts, and other relevant store data
• Experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript tools and frameworks (React, Node)
• Proficient understanding of modern web markup, including HTML5, CSS3+, and preprocessing languages
• Agile development experience
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail
• Open to code reviews and pair programming
• Clear, concise communication skills and good command of written and spoken English
