DESCRIPTION


We are looking for an energetic Senior Delivery Manager in Malaysia to make the team stronger.

Responsibilities

  • Drives projects, sub-projects or streams with average team size of 50+ FTEs. Responsible for delivery of required modules or solutions, communication with the customer, and handling all the project-related delivery matters
  • Takes a proactive part in suggesting technologies, tools, and approaches, advocates the best engineering practices and tools for effective use
  • Responsible for technical staffing matching people for successful project delivery. Facilitates reporting Including milestones and resource allocation
  • Contributes to the presales: estimations, architecture reviews, and documentation
  • Contributes best practices & processes as well as delivery management knowledge back to the company
  • Drives engagements of the average size of 50+ FTEs in total. Governing the delivery across stakeholders, handling complicated engineering issues, making sure the design, code and overall solution is of top-notch quality. Is completely responsible for the overall customer experience in terms of delivery
  • Responsible for developing and executing the succession plan of the projects on their account
  • Takes a proactive role in contributing to the best delivery management practices and processes within the company
  • Participates in mentoring and talent development programs for delivery leads and managers
  • Lead the team by example and create a learning environment and manage people performance in production setups. Focus and guide others in accomplishing work operations and objectives. Recognize and understands the agenda and perspective of others and balances the interests of all parties involved
  • Awareness and hands on experience in project management practices including but not limited to scope management, risk management, quality management, estimation, and change management
  • Identifies problems, actively works to resolve issues by focusing on listening and understanding. Escalate timely if help is needed
  • Possess sufficient knowledge to run the outcome-based setups with hard commitment to the timeline, quality and budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related majors
  • At least 15 years of experience in IT and at least 8+ years in positions of Delivery/Team Lead, Coordinator, Solution / Systems / Enterprise Architect, Delivery/Project/Program Manager
  • Strong, proven experience in software engineering with the ability to deliver sustainable solutions
  • Proven track record in managing delivery engagements end-to-end on teams averaging 50-100+ FTEs in total or connected with high visibility and high business impact projects
  • Experience in governing project delivery across the board of all stakeholders
  • Strong in handling complicated engineering issues, assuring quality and timely delivery
  • Experience and up-to-date knowledge of design and implementation of end-to-end solutions with continuous delivery/deployment pipelines
  • Experience with outcome-based setups, delivering on hard commitments and fixed timelines
  • Able to analyze, design and deliver a full stack technical solution to the client
  • Able to translate architecture into detailed implementation plan. Can read and comprehend code and architecture of full stack technical solution respectively to project objectives
  • Have a deep, structural knowledge of the best engineering practices and the ability to apply them on the ground
  • Experience in the design and implementation of continuous integration (CI)/ delivery (CD) setups
  • Able to follow the project process based on a real need. Is a hand on practitioner of selected, or multiple industry-recognized software development methodologies including, but not limited to Agile, Lean, Waterfall, etc
  • Strong in effort estimation, planning and scheduling delivery
  • Able to advocate, negotiate, tailor, and apply best engineering processes
  • Able to oversee business end of solution, apply best practices and deliver the most possible value out of the effort
  • Able to provide a coherent plan on the delivery including, but not limited to planning, scheduling, and tracking delivery
  • Able to apply best processes and methodologies, tailor them and run on the project
  • Identifies and Drives changes. Is able to adopt to changes and ambiguity, new ideas and approaches. Willing to make an extra mile to deliver
  • Strong in conflict management on both – team and client aspects of delivery
  • Experience in multinational, multilanguage and multicultural environments
  • Intermediate (CEFR B2+) or higher level of spoken and written English
