We are looking for a Software Engineer in Java. You will be working on Java Backend Development where we provide IT solutions for our clients in diversified industries. As a Java professional, you’ll fulfill the developer role to rationalize practices of Agile Methodology in the development team, partnering with multiple functional roles/teams to ensure delivery.
You’ll be working in the wealth management technology team based in our Singapore/Tokyo office. Our team makes sure that as a business we get the most out of our technology investment] by collaborating with colleagues, delivering on projects, and outlining the technical roadmap using our combined knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Data migration from Oracle 11g to 19c
- Server migration from Linux 6 to 7
- Develop the data processing tools in Java
- Design software aligned to wealth management business and IT requirements, transferring business problems into robust technical solutions
- Work with other technical disciplines to harmonize requirements, ensuring the end solution is fit for purpose
- Make sure technical solutions are integrated into our heterogeneous and highly automated infrastructure
- Collaborate on design best practice, problem analysis, proofs-of-concept, pilots, MVP design, quality, and control
- Partner with local wealth management business and global technology teams to enable and drive the deployment of digitalization capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent (technical school) in computer science or related discipline
- Worked as an IT engineer for above 1-3 years within advanced technology
- Experience in the Oracle and Linux
- Knowledge of continuous integration technologies – JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, etc
- Proven delivery of enterprise IT solutions
- Experience in database design, programming, business intelligence, integration, web technology, and cloud programming is advantageous
