EU Code Week unites thousands of coding events organized around Europe for kids and young children.
EPAM Hungary took an active part in the event – during one week we provided deep insight into the world of technology for 625 students from 13 schools between the ages 10-16.
KódGarázs, ‘Technologiai Oktatásért’ foundation’s project, was launched with the goal to teach young boys and girls to code using tools and equipment they need in order to get real-life coding skills – something that it is not available through traditional IT education or with online tutorials.
We are happy to get involved in this important initiative and host this 10-week-long course for talented girls and boys within EPAM’s e-Kids Program. It is a great experience to see how these children are inspired and empowered by exploring the world of technology. We hope that we can contribute to social change in Hungary, as we attempt to change how the IT sector is perceived and make it available also for girls, not just boys.
