SDET Python Description

Join EPAM as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specializing in Python. In this role, you'll draft, maintain, and execute test cases, identify and report defects, and work with product owners and test leads to define acceptance criteria. If you have strong embedded software testing and Python skills, experience with design, development, and execution of automation scripts, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, maintain, and execute test cases
  • Identify and report defects found during testing
  • Execute a variety of test techniques to ensure the highest possible quality of product before release
  • Work with product owners and test leads to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming features
  • Provide estimations

Requirements

  • Strong Embedded software testing and Python skills
  • Experience with design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with identifying, tracking bugs, defect tracking systems
  • Experience with Git (or any other source code management/version control system)
  • Experience with MacOS/Linux/Unix and knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in APIs testing (Postman, soapUI, etc.)

Nice to have

  • Experience authoring, executing, and automating unit testing
  • Experience setting up and maintaining continuous integration systems
  • Knowledge of test-driven development
  • Experience with building, testing, and deploying changes to software using software containerization (Docker) and container orchestration services like Kubernetes or AWS
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure and IT security protocols
  • Experience with Ansible, Bash, Powershell
  • Experience working with Databases (PostgreSQL) is a plus
  • Experience with Web technologies (HTML, CSS, NodeJS, ReactJS) is a plus
