Lead Java Developer Description
We are seeking a skilled Lead Java Developer to join our team at a global healthcare ISV, one of the top Electronic Medical Record (EMR) vendors.
The candidate will play a key role in reimagining and re-platforming our legacy application suite into a SaaS-based solution utilizing modern technologies and frameworks deployed on Oracle Cloud. This position offers an exciting opportunity to revolutionize patient interaction with their healthcare system through a new cloud-based patient portal.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and operation of highly available, high-traffic web applications and services
- Innovate and implement object-oriented design and SDK development within a cloud environment
- Write automated tests as part of the definition of done
- Deploy code to development environments using automated pipelines
- Debug issues by connecting to Kubernetes clusters
- Guide migration automation and control plan implementation
- Manage the personal health record feature development
- Oversee multi-EHR and international expansion projects in Germany, Australia, and Canada
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java development with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Background in operating customer-facing web applications and services
- Flexibility to use JavaScript/Typescript and scripting languages
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design, specifically within a cloud environment
- Capability to write and deploy automated tests
- Understanding of how to connect and debug Kubernetes clusters
- Knowledge of migration automation and personal health record systems
- Experience with multi-EHR and international expansion projects
- Familiarity with Oracle issued laptops for development purposes
