Lead Node.js Developer Description
We are seeking a Lead Node.js Developer who will be instrumental in enhancing our codebase, surmounting various challenges, and developing new features using Node.js. As a key member of our team, this leadership role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of our Node.js applications, from inception to deployment.
Please note, office work 5 days from the EPAM office is required.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of Node.js applications from conception to deployment, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines
- Actively contribute to writing and reviewing code
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and innovative back-end services and systems
- Work closely with other team leaders, product managers, and stakeholders to align project objectives and ensure effective communication across teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js and Nest.js
- 5+ years of commercial experience in web development
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ECMAScript 6 standards
- Commercial experience of working with high loaded SQL or NO SQL databases
- Proficiency in implementing REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets
- Understanding of TDD principles with experience in writing robust tests
- Understanding of microservice architecture principles
- Skills in using Git version control system
- Experience with RabbitMQ and Redis
- Expertise in MongoDB and MySQL databases
- At least Intermediate level of English proficiency
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience developing with CI/CD, Microservices architecture, and Containers
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of NATS
- Skills in TypeScript
