Candidate should possess strong analytical and technical skills and work well in a diverse team of engineers and stakeholders. They must be familiar with agile and continuous software development methodologies and practices.
Description
We are seeking an experienced, resourceful, and proactive DevOps engineer to join our cutting-edge development team. The ideal candidate is a divergent thinker who understands industry best practices and has experience with engineering in cloud environments, exposure to multiple scripting languages, and familiarity with both Windows and Linux operation systems. Candidate should possess strong analytical and technical skills and work well in a diverse team of engineers and stakeholders. They must be familiar with agile and continuous software development methodologies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions for our developer community
- Understand user requirements and needs to provide an excellent developer experience
- Conduct complex essential work under minimal supervision with independent judgement
- Work closely with project/program managers and other technical teams within organization
- Write and test code to ensure compatibility and stability: refine and rewrite as necessary
- Define and document best practices for product stack, and create clear technical specifications
- Ensure product’s performance, uptime, and scale, while maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
- Able to understand and design in a document oriented data environment
- A meticulous and organized approach of work
- A logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving with critical thinking
- A thorough, detail-oriented and team player work style
Requirements
- Design, develop, troubleshoot Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient skills in Azure, Azure DevOps Platform and CI/CD
- Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers
- 5+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer designing and delivering CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with microservice design and monorepo tooling
- Strong Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Gitlab, for CI/CD practices
- Experience with building microservices apps with Yarn2/Lerna
- Experience with Azure App Hosting Environment, and Function Apps in particular
- Experience with MongoDB, EventHub and/or Kafka
- Experience with Azure Cli tooling and Powershell
- Experience in REST API, YAML, JSON and Git
- Strong working knowledge of collaboration tooling used for software development such as Azure DevOps Boards (or Jira), MS Teams (or Skype), ServiceNow
- Experience working with Linux/Unix, Perl and/or shell scripts essential
