Building on EPAM’s strong growth culture, the company continues to add strategic business consulting services and capabilities to our portfolio. Cloud Advisory and M&A Services are recent examples of investments we are making to facilitate our future growth. We are looking for a leader who can provide subject matter expertise on Cloud transformation coupled with a background in M&A services (due diligence, value optimization, pre-close planning, and post-close execution). For this role we seek an individual who lives in Northern California and has strong business relationships in the San Francisco / Silicon Valley ecosystem.

As part of our Business Consulting Practice, the Managing Principal, Business Consulting will work across various technical business units, consulting groups, and clients of EPAM.

What You’ll Do

  • Build client and internal relationships and drive value within existing accounts and identify up-selling opportunities across Cloud Advisory and M&A Services
  • Identify and drive business development activities for EPAM client engagements, which can include supporting pre-sales activities such as proposal/SOW writing, client presentations, etc
  • Provide Cloud and M&A Services subject matter expertise and business development assistance for large transformation opportunities in various industries & geographies by working with and across EPAM horizontals
  • Lead consulting engagements delivering billable client work and lead the requirements analysis process
  • Utilize team resources and company methodologies to present and implement strategic and technology solutions for clients
  • Draw conclusions from market & industry trends, client issues and support go to market initiatives for EPAM verticals. This includes clarifying and framing solution offerings and developing reusable consulting methodologies and tools
  • Contribute to thought leadership, such as presentations and white papers, to strengthen industry expertise recognition
  • Help build onshore/offshore experienced consulting teams
  • Mentor and develop junior level consultants to improve quality of engagements and strengthen the overall practice

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in management consulting or industry practitioner role, with direct experience leading large client engagements across Cloud Advisory and M&A Services
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a trusted advisor to clients; identifying client's priority needs for service and support
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing business and technical concepts to all audiences and to create and package related executive-level presentations
  • The ability to manage teams of consultants and work with cross functional and client facing teams within an on/off-shore model
  • Experience in project management activities: project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation, including ensuring delivery of quality outcomes within timelines and budgets
  • Strong knowledge of various functions, process flows, systems and procedures which aids analysis and recommendations for solution offerings with a focus on cloud transformation and M&A
  • Ability to grasp business needs and assess impacts to complex business operations and systems
  • Practical experience in capturing client requirements, mapping processes, conducting hypotheses-based analysis, creating business cases, evaluating and presenting solutions
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong client presence
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence
  • Ability to perform in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience in business development, client relationship management and pre-sales support
  • Some experience with Agile Scrum software development framework is preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
  • Minimum Bachelor’s level Degree; advanced degree highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%
