Are you passionate about developing a detailed understanding of users’ behaviours, using it to create compelling digital experiences? Do you have proven skill and experience in developing the strategy behind the creation of innovative digital platforms? And are you in the detail - obsessive about pixel-perfection and micro-interactions?

The UX Strategist role crosses UX and Strategy disciplines. Working within the Strategy & Innovation practice and a multi-disciplinary team, you will lead on campaigns across multiple digital channels that engage and excite consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Join programs focused on understanding user/consumer and business needs to translate them into future compelling whitespaces, and omni or multi-channel experiences
  • Be able to investigate and understand business and brand context as applied to design strategy
  • Champion excellent user-centered design standards, User research, Human Centered Design
  • Facilitate workshops with clients to support them through a participatory design process
  • Create strategies, wireframes, prototypes, design systems
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of all aspects of the Experience Design approach, with the ability to apply them flexibly across a variety of project types
  • Ideate and co-design with peers and clients in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Lead UX aspects of design projects including user research, usability testing activities, analysis and development of customer journey maps and prototypes
  • Clearly communicate strategic vision and design decisions to varied audiences
  • Translate UX strategies into tangible on-screen experiences, while understanding the connection at an organizational level or physical touchpoints
  • System thinking in relation to holistic digital environments, considering relationships among them
  • Understand technical constraints and opportunities
  • Lead designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end design projects, ensuring outcomes meet both business and user goals
  • Build trusted relationships with internal/external account stakeholders
  • Ensure projects and tasks are delivered on time and within budget
  • Present design work confidently to stakeholders and build trusting relationships
  • Stay up to date with latest design and technology trends
  • Provide design solutions across various touchpoints (e.g. websites, mobile, apps)
  • Organize and delegate work to other designers as appropriate and provide mentorship
  • An understanding of relevant technologies for desktop and mobile and interest in emerging technologies such as AR/VR and IoT
  • High-level knowledge of front-end development
  • Identify resource requirements, time and budget estimations for complex innovation programs, set up and run client sessions, manage project budgets and deadlines
  • Collaborate with experts in different domains such as strategists, engineers, video artists, architects, human factor experts and brand experience designers

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in user experience, information architecture, UX strategy or interaction design roles
  • 2+ years’ experience directly managing designers
  • Strong client-facing consultation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Expert understanding of interaction, responsive and service design, and usability best practices
  • Proven experience with user flows, IA, site maps and wireframes, and with creating interactive prototypes at various levels of fidelity
  • Ability to lead discovery, user research, and user testing activities and deliverables
  • Expert experience with modern design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch & Figma
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex digital engagements; leading design activities in both agile and waterfall environments
  • Experience working with and developing design systems
  • Ability to accurately estimate and delegate work so that it is delivered on time and on budget
  • Enjoy working closely in a team with people who possess diverse skills and working styles
  • Are willing to travel approximately 20%-30% of each year for project work
