DESCRIPTION


We are looking for a highly-motivated Lead Systems Engineer (CI/CD) in Ho Chi Minh City to develop our Vietnam quality team. We have many upcoming opportunities with global brand-name clients for high-profile projects that require someone with excellent technical delivery skills and management capabilities. This role is highly flexible; your overall goal is to ensure the quality of software delivered by the team, from the start to finish of the project. You will need to apply manual and automated techniques to the whole software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Self-managing and leading; perform any tasks without supervision. Takes DevOps responsibility for a subsystem or a whole project. Delegates all levels of test execution, including automation, to team members and manages closely to ensure productivity and accuracy
  • Design and develop automated processes to maintain, upgrade, test, monitor CI/CD DevOps pipeline for the tool chain (GitLab, Jenkins, TFS, Artifactory, Scanning tools, ALM, uDeploy)
  • Prepare and perform application configuration changes (including all components)
  • Application component installation, configuration, upgrade and tuning including monitoring and performance metrics definition (components like Apigee, Redis, Memcache, IRM)
  • Develop best in class solutions into PaaS platform to enhance/ build up platform functions’ availability, extensibility, scalability, compatibility, etc
  • Leverage breakthrough IT technologies to build applications, i.e. leverage public cloud like Azure, AWS and platform solutions like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubenetes, ELKG
  • Work with DevOps Architects to design and build test environments and production environment for CI/CD tools
  • Continually review and evolve existing platform architecture to adopt leading IT methodologies i.e.: micro-service, container, continues delivery/deployment, ITIL
  • Day-to-day application components maintenance tasks including log analyze, incident troubleshooting and resolution
  • Automate manual repeatable workarounds

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, dealing with complex technical issues
  • Active learner who is passionate about technology and keeps up to date with technology changes
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience in at least one cloud provider e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Solid hands-on experience with various server operating systems (both MS Windows and Linux families) and standard software commonly used on both platforms
  • Good fundamentals in Disaster recovery strategy, Performance Optimization, Cluster solution operation, Application Performance Management (Monitoring)
  • Understanding of containerization e.g. Docker/ Kubernetes
  • Experience with CD/CI tools such as Jenkins, Cloud CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient in scripting
  • Upper intermediate (CEFR B2) or higher level of spoken and written English
