What You’ll Do

  • Consulting API Architect
  • Responsible for API Program set up and operation, collecting data and reporting on KPIs, coordination between individual API product teams, as well as the advice on API technology
  • Works closely with Architecture team, and API product teams
  • Understand process for creating APIs that conform to the OpenAPI spec (aka Swagger Spec)
  • Work with development teams to create APIs that conform to the spec
  • Build an Object Repository and manage that will contain reusable objects and components for the teams to foster consistency and reusability


  • Senior IT professional with experience leading or participating in an enterprise IT governance program – API program, SOA/Integration program, ARB, security review board or similar
  • Leadership and organizational skill, experience with coordinating multiple teams, strong communication skills, strong API and modern architecture knowledge
  • Good Communication skills – customer facing role
  • Experience with API design
  • Kong Enterprise - strong understanding and experience is mandatory
  • Understanding of HTTP specification, REST, JSON and XML
  • Understanding of GO Programming Language
  • Understanding of TLS, certificates, keystore and truststore
  • Understanding of API testing
  • Familiarity with OpenApi specification
  • Familiarity with OAuth
  • Familiarity with OOP and GOF Design Patterns
  • Familiarity with Scrum or similar agile practices
  • Ability to distil complex requirements

Nice to have

  • Experience in defining and reporting KPIs, experience with modern delivery pipelines, knowledge of Kong Enterprise Service Connectivity Platform
  • Experience with other API management platforms a plus

  • This position operates in a remote capacity, but you must live within driving distance to an EPAM office. Your recruiter will discuss specific details about work location during the initial interview process
