What You’ll Do
- Design and develop Java software (web) components for Structured Products / Global Order Manager as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Drive and review technical and architectural design of global solutions, enforcing architectural design guidelines and challenge status quo
- Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
- Support the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
- Make sure produced code is secure, stable and operating efficiently
What You Have
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in CS/Engineering/Science/Math preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development (analysis, development, testing, documentation)
- Strong Java Development skills in J2SE/J2EE applications
- Strong Database skills with moderate to complex database knowledge (preferably Oracle DB skills)
- Experience with Scripting language (Perl, Python, Unix Shell scripting)
- Good knowledge of open source frameworks, especially Spring suite
- Experience working in Agile methodology and working with a SCRUM team
- Broad understanding of clearing and settlement functions
- Prepare technical documents and review it peers
- Expertise in Test Driven development
- Hands-on experience in best practices in testing and developing of good/clean code
- Clear communication skills, written and verbal
- Team player who works well in a diverse environment
Nice to have
- Messaging skills. Knowledge in IBM Websphere MQ, TIBCO EMS and Kafka
- Knowledge and experience of financial industry
