DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Senior Java Developer for our Krakow office.

The role is to work on a variety of systems that constitute to the platforms within new Group Asset and Liability division. We are evolving these platforms to handle the increasing volumes and complexity of the business. There is a modern business initiative within that called Secured Funding IT Transformation, which goal is to deliver reliable, scalable, and flexible components infrastructure to integrate with the existing systems, emphasize online processing and leverage the synergies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT


Our client is one of the largest investment banks in the world.

Project technologies and tools

  • UNIX/LINUX OS
  • JEE and Java 8, git, teamcity, continuous integration
  • Microservices and service-oriented topology
  • Integration with different solutions using DB, REST/SOAP, messaging, and file transfers
  • Access to both the Non-Production and Production environments

Responsibilities

  • Work within the development team delivering the core features in Agile environment
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the delivery meets the department quality standards
  • Further the knowledge and enthusiasm of software engineering techniques with your peers

Requirements

  • Active Java and Spring programming skills
  • Source code control and build tools (git, maven, teamcity, sonar)
  • Unix/Linux environment and scripting languages (bash, python)
  • SQL knowledge and understanding
  • Diligent use of unit and acceptance testing, experience with automated testing techniques
  • Modern engineering and DevOps practices, continuous integration and delivery
  • Agile software development practices experience and good communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in using microservices, SOA and/or integration solutions
  • Expected to hit the ground running with limited guidance, be able to do more with less
  • Being proactive and inspiring others to deliver at a high-level
