Currently we are looking for a Systems Engineer for our Prague office to make the team even stronger.

Located globally, we operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment requiring strong technology, finance, quantitative, and communication skills. As a Systems Engineer, you will work under tight deadlines in an environment where delivery of IT solutions to revenue earning areas of the business is critical.

The main function of the role is to be a resource in a Prague-based Platform environment management team. Platform Env Mgmt includes High Performance Computing and ELK platforms within the Risk & Analytics area.


  • Work in a medium-sized global team of 5 people covering all activities in environment management – release and deployment, environment provisioning, non-production support and tooling and automation;
  • Own problems and drive through solutions;
  • Work with Development Teams, peers and PM to understand and deliver requirements;
  • Analyze requirements to find the most appropriate technical solution;
  • Document designs and communicate them with the team;
  • Main technologies used will be DataSynapse, Elastic with integration to middleware technologies such as Solace and Oracle Coherence;
  • Ensure adherence to bank technical standards & SDLC;
  • Support BAU;
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, the customer Operational Risk Framework and internal customer Policies and Standards.


  • Experience administering Server Operating Systems, including Windows 2008/2012/2016, UNIX, Linux Red Hat;
  • Server side and distributed software experience;
  • Exposure to Agile and DevOps process, approaches and tools;
  • Linux and Windows Scripting in PS, Bash;
  • 3rd line support of a large critical system;
  • The team uses Agile process and the candidate is expected to be able to manage the Jira stack;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Scientific discipline;
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills, Intermediate English level (B1+) or higher.

Nice to have

  • Java and Web application managing experience;
  • Scripting in Python;
  • Experience deploying high-performance server-side/compute grid distributed risk generation software;
  • Systems that utilize a compute grid (e.g. Data Synapse) and/or data grid (e.g. Oracle Coherence);
  • Strong architecture and design;
  • Risk, pricing and derivatives knowledge.
