DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Director/Principal Retail Consulting for our Frankfurt office to make the team even stronger.

As a Director in our Retail Consulting practice you will be able to look at the world differently and thought the lens of both our customers and partners, being a potential actor in the retail business landscape.

You are interested in serving retailers covering a mix of: retail best practices experience; driving and orchestrate multiple solutions involving multiple suppliers and integrations, towards achieving successfully the purpose of a project / business challenge; managing business and technology risks; how to propose agile solutions that will largely improve their business to their customers.

You understand the main components of a retailer’s IT architecture and have Program Management experience in running large retail transformation projects.

You are interested in optimizing retail processes that allow retailers to effectively managing the buying, moving and selling their products (digital and physical) and how businesses respond and navigate an ever-changing world of complexity, uncertainty, and paradoxes.

You are also experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams, involving retail business, IT and 3rd parties.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery Management of Retail Projects to customer satisfaction and managing teams across projects to ensure quality and deliver profitable services;
  • Be responsible for the delivery of services within the SLAs and KPIs;
  • Align to organization’s systems, processes and methodologies, to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery;
  • Lead a team of people applying best practices of competency development and manage their career development via Appraisal Management;
  • Assist in Staffing requirements;
  • Work as a team member within the organization to provide a resilient service to our customers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in retail;
  • Experience working with Business Process Modeling and Business Process Design;
  • Experience managing and developing delivery teams, involving appraisals and career development;
  • Retail skills in at least 3 of the following retail areas:
    • Merchandise Management;
    • Inventory Management;
    • Store Operations;
    • Warehouse Operations;
    • Retail Analytics;
    • Forecasting;
    • Retail Financial and / or Assortment Planning;
    • Retail Optimization;
    • eCommerce / Digital Retailing.
  • Possess good business acumen;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating at different levels of the business up to C-level;
  • Keep abreast of current trends and developments within the retail industry and be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
