Currently we are looking for an Automated QA Tester for our New York, NY office to make the team even stronger.

EPAM, recently recognized by Forbes as one of the fastest growing companies in the US, is currently seeking an Automated QA Tester to join our growing team in New York. The ideal candidate will be testing OTT Applications including Android, iOS, XBOX, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV in a large Enterprise Setting.


  • Plan, Implement and oversee QA practices and procedures that will accommodate rapid scale, improve efficiency, and ensure product quality;
  • Act in a direct role to execute manual and automated quality assurance tests and document software defects;
  • Create and maintain test cases, test data, test plans and defect reports;
  • Participate in early story development and design sessions to suggest and assist in acceptance criteria, boundary tests, and automation plans;
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate risks within each software release;
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
  • Perform thorough testing on web, mobile apps, such as IOS, Android, OTT devices;
  • Perform thorough testing on MAC/Windows based browsers.


  • 4+ years in a Quality Assurance role for a software/tech company;
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and Technology;
  • Automation (Testing) Tools – IntelliJ, TestNG, mvn and Rally;
  • Strong knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle;
  • Experience in cross-platform and cross-browser testing;
  • Experience in debugging;
  • Amazing written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills;
  • Proficient in web technologies;
  • Proactive and highly disciplined approach to work;
  • Experience in automation tools;
  • Power user of defect tracking systems and test management systems;
  • Experience in Jira and Zephyr is highly preferred;
  • Excellent understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and etc.);
  • Knowledge of Video technologies (HTML5, Flash, Video formats, DRM, transcoding, streaming, HLS, HDS, etc.);
  • Knowledge of Network analysis and troubleshooting using Charles or other network analyzer tools;
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
  • Able to work independently at a high level while part of a larger team;
  • Very high attention to detail, completeness, and an eye towards process and quality improvement at all times;
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to focus on the day-to-day while continuing to execute on the long-term vision of the product;
  • Strong ability to resolve conflicts constructively; a great attitude.
