DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Lead C/Linux Software Engineer for our Kyiv office to make the team even stronger.

The team is engineering the applications for our client – one of the biggest producers of premium cars and the world’s biggest manufacturer of commercial vehicles with a global reach. Client also provides financing, leasing, fleet management, insurance, financial investments, credit cards, and innovative mobility services.

As a Lead C/Linux Software Engineer, you will be working on AGL system on embedded platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom AGL based system;
  • Integrate third party software components;
  • Integrate containerized applications into AGL;
  • Integrate AGL with Xen Hypervisor;
  • Productize AGL-based system for market release;
  • Communicate with OSS community;
  • Be responsible for development tasks - design/architecture, implementation, unit test coverage, code review and possible upstreaming.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of programming experience;
  • Strong Linux software engineering background (system level, kernel level);
  • At least basic understanding of build systems: BitBake, repo. use experience of Yocto, OpenEmbedded;
  • Expert in ANSI C, C++, Makefiles, bash;
  • Experience in any of: Python, Lua, Go, Rust;
  • Experience in working with Linux BSP design or update or tuning;
  • Understanding of Git-based development workflows;
  • Intermediate or higher spoken and written English.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in Linux kernel drivers engineering;
  • Understanding of containerization (LZC, Docker, etc.) or virtualization (Xen, KVM);
  • Open source community participation (upstreaming, patch review, etc.).
