DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript) for our Shenzhen office to make the team even stronger.

EPAM recruits exceptionally talented people who have a passion for and take pride in their work and are perfectionists in what they do.

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality JavaScript code: alone or as part of the team;
  • Participate in Scrum activities: daily standups, retrospectives, planning, etc;
  • Mentor developers, improve overall quality of a code and development processes;
  • Constantly acquire new skills in the team and apply them on a project.

Requirements

  • Degree in a Computer Science related discipline or equivalent;
  • JavaScript Core: perfect knowledge of the language;
  • Solid knowledge of computer science, best coding practices, design patterns, performance optimizations;
  • Should strive for personal technical excellence in his/her area of expertise and continuously work towards the improvement of his/her skills;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Solid understanding of web development;
  • Hands-on experience with React JS, HTML5, CSS3;
  • Test Driven Development (TDD);
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, Scrum process in particular;
  • Good understanding of OOP;
  • Knowledge of common algorithms.

Nice to have

  • AngularJS, EmberJS or any other JS MVC framework;
  • CSS preprocessors (LESS, SASS);
  • Node.js or any other server-side programming experience;
  • JavaScript build and testing tools;
  • ECMA 7 features.
