DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Lead Java Developer for our Atlanta, GA office to make the team even stronger.

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer, who would be able to take a technical leadership working with an offshore team, drive architecture decisions, understand business needs, at the same time remain hands-on and do actual coding with top quality.

We build a service-oriented system composed of multiple standalone, lightweight web services leveraging an open source stack: Java, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Camel, Quartz, Apache ActiveMQ. The system handles millions of transactions over billions of records daily, using hundreds of virtual machines in multiple data centers. We unit test ruthlessly with JUnit, Mockito and Spring-Test. We review Bitbucket pull requests carefully. Infrastructure-wise we use Jenkins and Chef for build and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development and testing activities with offshore development teams.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of technologies – Core Java 1.8, Spring, Hibernate;
  • Understanding of ESB (experience with Fuse is a plus);
  • Understanding of API Management Platforms (experience with Apigee is a plus);
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Proven high level of expertise in Java and related technology stacks;
  • Proven proficiency in API development (REST and SOAP);
  • Experience working with Maven, Git;
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Jenkins, Apache Camel and Red Hat JBoss Fuse Platform;
  • Aggregating/composition services experience.
