Senior/Lead Java Developer

Currently we are looking for a Senior/Lead Java Developer for our Krakow office to make the team even stronger.

The project development team is distributed across three locations. The project started with the idea to completely replace the current bank application with something much better, the project is an operational solution that provides users with capability to manage a complete range of client interactions. It supports internal workflows and tracks issues through client interaction, from inception to resolution. The project had several releases, delivering plenty of new functionalities to the business users.

The project itself contains main core application and several auxiliary applications. The core application consists of a front-end and back-end. Front-end is a single page web application written in HTML + JS with the use of Angular. Back-end is a Java application, which is deployed to the Tomcat and provides REST endpoints for the Front-end. Back-end contains multiple layers: persistence, service, rest. The application uses: Hibernate as JPA provider, Spring, Apache CXF, JiBX, Apache Camel, Activiti (BPMS), JBoss Drools. Oracle is used for persistence.

New technologies, frameworks and tools are open for use to develop new components, contributing to the look and behavior of the system. JBoss Drools (Rules Engine) is widely used by different components allowing business users dynamically control the behavior of the system. Activiti BPMS is used to facilitate workflow.

Our multinational team is made up of 30+ people in three locations: Kyiv, Krakow and a central European country. The Business Analysis team and the Project Sponsor are located at the client side.

  • Strong experience in Java programming;
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Experience in Spring, Hibernate;
  • Knowledge of SQL (PL/SQL would be a big plus);
  • Linux experience would be a plus;
  • Knowledge of XML (XPath, XQuery) would be a plus;
  • JavaScript skills would be a plus;
  • Good command of spoken and written English to communicate with Product Stakeholders and Business Analysts;
  • Strong team-work focus;
  • Proactive and fast learner.
