Currently we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for our Lviv office to make the team even stronger.

EPAM is looking for a customer-oriented, diligent, and proactive System Engineer to participate in the project related to infrastructure movement into Amazon Cloud, build proper configuration management and continuous integration processes, etc. This role presupposes frequent communication with the customer as well as the possibility of business trips, that’s why we are seeking those candidates who are friendly, easy going and who can easily find a common language with anybody.


  • From process prospective:
    • Event management;
    • Incident management;
    • Problem management;
    • Configuration management.
  • From technologies prospective:
    • Operation of the Application farm based on the following technologies: Data Center operations, Amazon or other clouds, Linux, MySQL (Cluster) or any other database, J2EE Application server (JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere), Apache, Nginx;
    • Monitor the Application farm based on the following technologies: Zabbix, Nagios, APM solutions;
    • Troubleshoot the Application farm based on the following technologies: LogStash+Elastic Search+Kibana, Splunk, etc;
    • Integrate the Application farm with external world based on the following technology: REST;
    • Assist with building analytic back-end based on Hadoop, MongoDB.
  • From DevOps/CI side prospective:
    • Automate configuration/release management based on Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins;
    • Use scripting languages like Bash, Ruby, Python.


  • Proven knowledge of and experience with Linux platform;
  • Amazon Web Services knowledge and experience;
  • ElasticSearch experience;
  • Configuration management engines;
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Ruby, Python, Perl);
  • Experience with database management systems (MySQL, etc.);
  • Problem solving skills, troubleshooting experience (networks/systems/applications);
  • Experience with systems and applications performance tuning;
  • English good enough to communicate with foreign customers both verbally and in written form – Intermediate (B1) level and higher;
  • Ability to work both individually and within a team.
